New Cooking Video: How to Cut a Pineapple

July 10, 2017

It’s summer– that means pineapples are hopefully on sale at your grocery store! My local Sprouts has been pouring with them at really great prices. The other day I saw pineapples on sale for 98 cents a piece!

Juicy pineapple not only tastes great, but it’s loaded with good-for-you nutrients like vitamin C, magnesium and B-6. I like to use pineapple in smoothies, alongside cottage cheese (is that weird? haha!), and thrown into stir frys.

Here’s a video that shows you how to dice pineapple quickly, without using any extra equipment (like a corer).

You can use diced pineapple in so many recipes! Here’s a couple to give you some inspiration:

Pineapple Avocado Salsa

Need a sweet and spicy salsa to go with barbecue chicken, steak or hamburgers? Look no further! This Pineapple Avocado Salsa can be served with tortilla chips as a delicious side dish.

Instant Pot Sweet & Sour Chicken

Moist, tender chicken pieces are covered with a tangy sweet n’ sour sauce, paired with pineapple, brown rice and an Asian broccoli slaw.

Teriyaki Pineapple Shrimp & Zucchini Ribbons

sauteed pineapple and shrimp with spicy teriyaki sauce and crunchy zucchini ribbons. Ready in under ten minutes, this meal for two will be sure to impress.
