We’re Married! Mr. & Mrs. Weeks

November 15, 2016

We’re back from our honeymoon, as the new Mr. and Mrs. Weeks! Wow, everything has flown by so fast, it’s been a whirlwind. The wedding was beautiful– everything ran so smoothly. We didn’t have any major hiccups (just little ones, like my brother losing his ID before his flight home and flowers arriving late). I’m sharing a couple sneak peeks from my photographer today– but once we get all of the pictures back from her you will be seeing more!

Wedding week was so fun– we did all of the flowers completely ourselves. Which was a little daunting but it turned out perfect! We had a floral arranging party the day before the wedding, and about 10 ladies came over to help. After the floral party, we had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner in downtown McKinney (TX), and that was a blast as well. I grew up in McKinney, so it was nice to have all of our wedding festivities back at home.

On wedding day, we had brunch with mimosas and then the hair and makeup lady came over to my parents house. My mom, sister and I spent the morning getting ready together, which I loved! Then we headed over to the venue, The Bingham House in downtown McKinney. The bridesmaids were in light blush full length chiffon dresses, and the guys wore light grey with navy ties. Our wedding colors were the blush, navy, greens, whites and golds. I can’t wait to share all of the pictures!

The ceremony itself couldn’t have been more perfect. I didn’t cry or get emotional as much as I thought I would, haha! I was more just excited to get on with it and get married to the love of my life! Nick said that he teared up when my Dad and I walked down the aisle but held it back, haha.

We left for our honeymoon a day later — to Punta Cana, Dominican Replublic! We stayed 7 days and 6 nights, and it was amazing. I will definitely be sharing pictures (and eats!) from our trip!

I am happy to be back home this week, getting back into things. I can finally spend my free time on this blog again and I can’t wait to see where it goes.
