Virtual Coffee Date

May 6, 2016

wakingup

If we were having coffee this morning, I’d tell you that the first week of my new job went well! It’s been exciting to dive into school wellness after working at a hospital for three years. It seems like it’ll be really fun and interesting.

If we were having coffee this morning, I’d tell you that I’ve been feeling bad that I haven’t been able to keep up with the blog the past couple weeks. There’s just so much going on right now that I’m exhausted in the evenings, which is typically when I write. Hopefully things will calm down after we move and I’ll be able to blog like normal.

From starting a new job, moving in less than three weeks, dealing with my car that got rear ended, and a sick puppy, I’ve just been a little overwhelmed! Link has had an upset tummy for over a week now. I took him to the vet last week and they gave him an antibiotic and a probiotic, and it’s helping some but he’s not back to his usual puppy self.

I think he can sense us packing boxes and it’s making him nervous! Dogs can be so sensitive. He’s just sleeping more than usual and not eating much of his kibble. Any ideas for natural anxiety relief for dogs?

If we were having coffee this morning, I’d tell you that I went to my very first Ranger’s baseball game last weekend! I’ve lived in Dallas my whole life and have never been. Not really being a sports person, I think I enjoyed the cotton candy and beer more than the game, haha.

If we were having coffee this morning, I’d tell you that I’m glad the wedding planning process hasn’t been very stressful. We’re six months away (!!) and have basically half of everything done! The only major things left are the flowers (which I am planning on doing myself somehow), cake, and alcohol. Little things like additional decorations, invitations (we’re also doing ourselves), accessories, etc are left.

We ordered the bridesmaid dresses from a custom shop on Etsy, and my sister and my future sister in law’s dresses came WAY too big. So we’re working on getting a partial refund so they can go get their dresses altered. They’re like 3 inches too big in the chest, and they were supposed to be custom dresses, haha.

That’s probably all for today… this weekend I’ll be trying to relax, pack, and spend some time with my family.

If we were having coffee this morning, what would you tell me?

If we were having coffee I’d tell you that a friend of mine of mine here at the counseling center found your blog while looking for a dietician. She said she was really really impressed and that your photos are amazing.
I’d tell you that bootcamp was really tough this week and everything is sore. Even my texting finger. :D

It’s your mom again. I’d also say I’m sorry for misspelling dietitian in my previous comment and sorry for the grammatical repetition error.
I’d say I had way too little sleep last night!
