Dad's Chicken Pot Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 2 Tbsp all purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 bag frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 can diced white potatoes
  • 1 zucchini diced
  • 2 cups diced cooked chicken
  • 1 can jumbo refrigerated biscuits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large pot, melt the butter and add the salt, pepper, onion powder and minced garlic. Add the flour and whisk for 2 minutes.
  3. Slowly pour in the milk and let it come to a boil. Add the bouillon cube.
  4. Add the frozen mixed veggies, potatoes, zucchini and chicken. Let it boil for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Pour into a 9x13 baking dish.
  6. Top with the biscuits and bake for about 10 minutes, or until biscuits are browned.
