Cinnamon Sugar Toasted Walnuts

Servings 8 1/4 cup servings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw walnut pieces or halves
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of kosher salt
  • 1 Tbsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with foil or use a silicon baking mat.

  2. In saucepan, melt oil and butter over medium low heat. Add the cinnamon and salt and stir, then add the walnuts. Toss to coat. Sprinkle with the sugar.

  3. Spread out evenly on the baking sheet in one layer. Bake for 20 minutes, checking during the last five minutes to make sure they don't turn too dark.
