Instant Pot Green Beans with Mushrooms & Bacon

Tender green beans sauteed with butter, shallots, garlic, white mushrooms and bacon bits. These Instant Pot Green Beans with Mushrooms & Bacon are perfect to serve alongside your Thanksgiving feast (or anytime of the year!)

  • 1 lb fresh green beans, cleaned and trimmed
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup bacon bits


  1. Place the green beans into the Instant Pot. Cover with water (just enough to cover the beans). Close lid and lock, and be sure to close the steam valve. Press "Manual" and set the time for 3 minutes. After times up, quick release the steam. Drain the beans and set aside. 

  2. Return the insert to the Instant Pot. Press "Saute" and add the butter, shallot, garlic, salt and pepper, vinegar, and mushrooms. Cook until the mushrooms have shrunk.

  3. Add the cooked green beans and the bacon bits. Stir to combine.
