Happy Friday everyone! I am so happy its the weekend. It’s been chilly here in Dallas this week — 35 degrees yesterday! What! I know that seems warm to you northern people. I’m crossing my fingers it at least snows a little bit here sometime this winter. February is usually our month where we’ll get at least half an inch to an inch every year. We can only hope.
Today I’m sharing a delicious recipe for Skinny Orange Chicken over on my friend Alysia’s blog, Slim Sanity!
It’s a really simple recipe that’s much lighter than the restaurant or fast food version. The sauce is made out of freshly squeezed orange juice, garlic, honey, a soy sauce substitute, and a heavenly mixture of seasonings. Be sure to head over, check out my recipe, and give her site some love! I can’t wait to get to know her readers.
If you’re coming over from Alysia’s website, welcome! I am SO happy you’re here. In case you haven’t been to my website before, I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist from Dallas, Texas. I love cooking, gardening, practicing yoga and learning more about the mind-body connection. In fact, I’m currently doing a series called 12 Habits in 2015, where each month is a different mindfulness topic with tips, advice, printables and much more.
My mission is to inspire you to make healthy choices—not just in food choices but also in being active and maintaining the mind-body connection. The recipes you’ll find here will be geared toward natural, fresh whole foods as close to their original form as possible. Be sure to check out my recipe box for more tasty recipes!

Well hello there Emily! I’m happy to hear of another healthy living/food blogger in the Dallas area because I had just reached out and connected with Alysia recently. I might be moving to live with my fiance soon to the Plano/Dallas area. We plan on making a trip there at the beginning of March and I was looking for fellow healthy living bloggers to meet, if they were available, so I could get your take on the Dallas area and find out more about job opportunities as well. I might be sending you an email soon, if that’s alright with you! I also posted a similar message on Alysia’s blog because I wasn’t sure which one you would check. :)
Hi! :) Yes send me an email, I’d love to help!
(That recipe looks delicious and I’m heading over to check it out! <3)
Can’t wait to check it out! Orange chicken is one of my favorites!
Thanks for sharing! This looks just as good and tasty as anything I would order out at a restaurant.
