Hi friends!

Happy Friday! I am back in Texas after my trip earlier this week. If you’ve been following me on Facebook or Instagram, you know that I’ve been in California visiting an almond orchard. I got back super late Wednesday night (almost 1 am) and have been experiencing “trip hangover”!

I plan on posting a full recap next week about the trip. It was relaxing and so cool to meet some of my blogger friends.

Today I’m sharing a super simple recipe that I made for dinner a couple weeks ago. Do you have a bread machine? Nick gave me one for Christmas the first year we lived together.  I had been asking for one for weeks and he kept telling me it wasn’t a good idea because of how full our kitchen cabinets were already (I do have a lot of appliances….)

But turns out, he was just trying to keep me from buying one so he could get it for me as a present! I love bread machines because you just fill them up with flour, water, oil, salt and yeast, press a button, and a couple hours later you have the best bread you’ve probably ever had. My particular bread machine has 8 different cycles, such as white, whole wheat, sweet bread, French, and a quick dough cycle.

The dough cycle on my machine makes fresh ready-to-bake dough, using flour, water, oil, salt and year in an hour and a half.

Making your own homemade pizza crust is delicious, easy, and cheap. It costs only cents to create an entire pizza crust using ingredients you probably already have on hand, versus buying a pre-made crust for $4-5 at the grocery store. The price of a good quality bread machine may be expensive at first, but it pays off in the long run if you use it enough.

After I made the dough, I spread it out on a hot pizza stone, added the sauce and toppings, and baked until crispy!

Do you have a bread machine? Whats your favorite recipe? Can you tell which half of the pizza is mine?

Here’s the recipe!

  1. I think you need to give Wade, my fiance, a pep talk about making pizza at home. No matter how many times I’ve tried to argue with him (and a few attempts that we’ve made of trying pizza at home), he is absolutely convinced that homemade pizza is not great at all. I love homemade pizza! It drives me nuts. I am saving this recipe though. But seriously, if you want to talk to Wade sometime about it…please do! I’ve tried. It’s a lost cause for me. Haha! But I think you did a stellar job here with this pizza! I love mushrooms, olives, and spinach as my pizza toppings. :)

  2. Holy crap, those pictures are so food pornographic, I am hiding my computer screen from everyone around me! ;)
